The Central Nervous System: Befriend It

The nervous system is one of my favorite topics. Your Central Nervous System (CNS) is of utmost importance. It controls most body-mind functions. Think of it as the control system for your mind-body-art ship. The two main parts of the CNS are the brain and the spinal cord. So, hello, it’s vital.

When your CNS is disturbed, the whole system can start to break down. Diseases of the central nervous system include Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and Epilepsy, among others. Because I have a history of epilepsy/seizures, I am always on CNS patrol. And when I feel out of balance, it usually manifests as nervous system disturbances: Headaches, anxiety, seizures, etc.

This week, I experienced some nervous system disturbances: A migraine headache and some involuntary twitching. This was my body talking to me. Here are some ways to pamper the CNS and take back the control panel:
